Ive decided that i want to switch from Nutro and some one suggested Diamond premium edge. As for Nutro, I dont like how often they go to the bathroom and the fact that they are supposed to eat up to 6 cups per day!!! That is so much food and they never eat more than 4 max (in fact, with AJ i have to add some wet food b/c he just wont eat it). Anyway, I picked up a small bag today and mixed it in with the Nutro and AJ looooved it (Pearl will eat anything so I wasnt too concerned about her). In fact, Aj finished his food before PEarl and that is unheard of!

Anyways, I guess Im just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on the diamond brand. I was suprised that it was actually cheaper but seemed to have so much better ingredients.

It says that it contains:

27% min protein
15% min FAt
3% max fiber
10% max moisture
and 1.1% min for calcium

I just want to make sure that the precentages are ok (on hindsight, probably should have asked this before I gave it to them).

Oh I meant to ask before why it seems as if this brand is cheaper than the others and is only found in feed stores? And I hope you all dont mind me asking this, I did a search on diamond but I only really found stuff about the recall.

IMO - Diamond is an excellent food. That's what I feed my boys and have excellent results. I stopped it for a while during the recall. I've always fed the lamb and rice which doesn't contain corn - that's what the recall was about anyway.
The reason it's cheaper is because it's made by a small company and they don't advertise.
Good Luck!

I just recently started Bella on the Diamond Lamb & Rice and she loves it also. I pay 18.99 for a 40lb bag at Tractor Supply. I found now that I will stick to that brand.

Jas and Sawyer do very well on Diamond. We use the Diamond Naturals 60+. No gas from Sawyer and that is definately a good thing :)
