I found Diamond but they don't have LB puppy. Is the regular puppy too much for him? It's 31 protein and 20 fat. Is that too much? I didn't start him on it yet but need to ASAP before I run out of his Nutro and have to buy another bag.
Just looking for advise as to what my or may not have worked for others.
Thanks.

Too much as far as what?

The LB Diamond puppy label shows this:

Guaranteed Ananlysis

Crude Protein

27.0%minimum
Crude Fat 15.0% minimum
Crude Fiber 3.0% maximum
Moisture 10.0% maximum

Calcium 1.2%minimum

Phosphorus 1.2%maximum

Phosphorus 1.0%maximum

Omega-6 Fatty Acids 2.2% minimum*

Omega-3 Fatty Acids 0.3% minimum*

*Not recognized as an essential nutrient by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profile.

Calorie Content:
3,656 kcals/kg (342 kcals/cup)
Calculated Metabolizable Engergy

So what you really getting with the LB puppy is less fat. Some believe (me included) that LB puppies fair better on lower fat puppy foods. But that is just my opinion.

Good Luck!

That is really what I was wondering. I haven't had a puppy in a loooong time and as far as I know there weren't an LB foods then. Just with everything that I have read here got me to wondering about if it would be too much fat and ot protien for him.

Diamond just changed the name of their Lamb & Rice puppy to LB puppy. So you might inquire as to whether a store carries the L&R puppy.

Not sure about this one Labby:

I have bought both formulas in the last month. They are in different color bags, and one is lamb based the other is chicken based. The puppy formual is a 31/20 blend, LB puppy is as displayed above.
