First off thanks to ChocolateDawg for calling us any letting us know about dock diving practice! :thumb4: This was our first time seeing it and meeting folks from the board.

We decided to bring Bailey and Brooklyn (our foster) out to see what this dock diving was all about. We also wanted to see if our two would show an interest.

Being Mr. Lazy Butt, Baiely wasn't all that interested and wound up being the only dry dog around.

After a few minutes Brooklyn was barking and running around the pool showing a real interest:

After falling in the pool 3 times, she had to take a break from the excitement and sniff around

Both Bailey and Brooke left the dock diving and swimming up to the pros

Awww! Better luck next time! We took a dock diving seminar with Miah a couple of years ago. We discovered that even though she loves to swim, she loves to fetch, and she loves to leap over the back of the couch in a single bound, these attributes do not a dock diver make. It's pretty unnatural for them to want to dive in the water like that. It takes time and practice. We had to start out with baby steps, having her go off a dock that was almost at water level to the lake. Then we worked our way up to the higher dock.
