Eagle Pack Holistic Fish?
We are on a raw diet right now and it is breaking our bank. Summer time meat prices for 5 dogs are too high for us right now. If I cant do a balanced raw diet then I dont want to do it at all. So back to kibble until BBQ season is over and the meat $'s go down.
That still leaves the problem of my allergy girl. She was on natural balance sweet potato and fish before but I dont want to put her on that again. I took a look at the Eagle Pack Holistic Fish and it looks pretty good... possibly worth a try. However we have to have it delivered to our area which is sort of a bummer.
Anyway I guess I just wanted someones personal opinion on the food if anyone feeds this particular one.
Thanks

If she did well on the Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish before and it's available in your area, why don't you want to put her back on that???

She didnt do well on it, that is just what she was on before raw. She still had issues. I really dont want to go backwards.

Brandy was on EP Holistic Fish from the time she was 7 months old. She did well on it.

We do Eagle Holistic Duck and Oatmeal. Halligan has issues with chicken and yeasty ears. He loves the duck. I always go to Eagle's website and print the $2.00 coupon before I get it though. Every little bit helps.

All three of my girls eat EP Holistic fish for breakfast, along with splitting a can of Merrick food. They LOVE the fishy food. I usually put their fish oil in their bowls and just put the dry food right on top of it.
The senior formula has some of the same ingredients but also adds chicken.
BTW, the store where I buy EP has these coupons that if you save the UPC's from the bags, after you save so many "pounds" worth, they will send you a coupon for a free bag.

Toby eats Eagle Pack Holistic....I actually rotate three varieties...chicken, lamb and fish. He does very well on the fish and LOVES it! :thumb4:
I have never had a problem with any of the Eagle Pack foods....they are a great company and make their own food in their own manufacturing plant which makes for much better quality control which is so important today.
Natural Balance has had their share of problems lately...:( I would recommend the Eagle Pack over the Natural Balance.
Remember to go to their website and print out the $2.00 coupon. Good luck to you!

Although EP is great food be aware that if your dog is having sensitivity to foods that the EP fish has more than one source of protein, Anchovy, Sardine, Salmon. For suspected allergies it is better to go with a single protein single carb food.
I had my two English Setters on RAW but when Hamish, the older one, came up with suspected sensitivity to chicken, and chicken was the basis of his RAW diet, I switched him to Go Natural Salmon & Oatmeal kibble and so far so good. The itching, chewing, pulling out coat, and rubbing face has slowed down quite a bit and he's only been on Go Natural for a week.
Now if I could just find something to make my other ES Logan eat I'd be happy. I've never had a dog that wouldn't eat but Logan sure doesn't!

Thanks for the replies guys. We talked it over and we are going to continue the raw for our allergie girl and put the rest of our crew on kibble for a bit. Any kibble that is worth while to feed her will run as much as raw feeding so it doesnt matter. Plus I dont want her to go backwards.
My other guys are going to start on Lamaderm. I have been really happy with this in the past for them so we shouldnt have any problems there. I am going to do one or two raw meals a week to keep their teeth in shape though. I am so proud of my babies mouths. :)
Thanks again for all the comments.
