I need help. Belle has been off of her kibble for about 3 wks (she will only eat very little). We took her to a show about 3 wks ago and she decided to go off of her kibble. I thought it was maybe just stress because we had never stayed in a hotel with her and she was getting lots of cookies. Well the only way she 'd eat was out of my hand (and not much) we got her home back into her regular surroundings and she still won't eat her kibble unless we put yogurt on it. It is time to switch her to adult food so I bought Cannidae, she ate the first bowl real well and now is turning her nose up at it as well. The only way she'll eat like she used to, is if we put yogurt on her food. I have thought maybe it's the heat (we live in AZ) but she is not outside in the heat much at all. Could this be a faze or are creating a picky eater? Belle didn't even want her marrow bone this week. She acts fine, maybe a little hyper at times. Her BM's are normal except not quite as large. I am stumped...
Please someone with experience..... help me figure this one out.

How old is Belle? I remember Hudler going through phases when he was growing up. He also used to be on the thin side and every time we thought he'd get to a good weight, he'd stop eating and get thin again.

Canidae is good. One of my breeder friends feeds it to her dogs at all ages.

Putting yogurt or maybe something else she likes on the food is fine. If you can tolerate doing it, put the food down plain, pick it up in 30 minutes and if she doesn't eat she doesn't eat. She won't starve herself. My dh can't do that with ours, so ours are a little picky. They get a little meat what we're having for dinner in their kibble sometimes, maybe a little cottage cheese, yogurt.

Ours NEVER eat on vacations. It's just too much out of their schedule. We're lucky if we can get them to eat a hamburger or or dog biscuit. We're going away for a week next week (they come with us) and we're already debating how much kibble to bring since we know they won't eat....

If she'll eat it with yogurt then that's good! Yogurt (plain, preferably organic) is very good for her. I wouldn't hesitate to include it with every meal.

It could be a phase, but she may also be trying to tell you something. If it continues, you may consider switching to another food.

Thanks everyone. Belle is 1 yr old the 26 of this month. Yes, we'll just continue to put yogurt on her food. Luckily she doesn't show again until Sept.
