All I can say is :cry2:. I don't want to say anything to spoil it if some haven't seen it but what an episode last night.

OMG. I laid in bed boohoooing next to my dh. I actually had a hard time sleeping last night b/c of that show.

Why did they have to do that? I would have either preferred it was someone else or if I just had hadn't watched.

I don't know how long you've been watching the show, but don't you remember he used to have a mentally challenged brother on the show. I remember he got into some legal trouble and him and Carter sent him on a bus out of town. He was never mentioned again. I found that really disappointing. And then they acted like he had only 1 brother.

And what's with the teaser for next week? They said they were bringing back old friends. I can understand Carter. BUT MARK GREEN IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!

I know, I liked him too. I was crying too, dh is sound asleep then he wants to know what happened..
I've been watching it ever since it came on for the most part, I forgot about the other brother.
I found it wierd about Mark Green too.

I thought it was quite odd about Dr. Green. How can they bring someone back from the dead? Unless he's coming back as someone different?

I've been watching the show since day one. I cried my eyes out and had a hard time sleeping last night.
I didn't watch next week teaser.....I was watching Grey's

I stopped watching this show for the last 3 years or so, but since it's the last season I decided to start again. I think it really stinks that Pratt died! He was one of my favorites. And I agree, how is Mark Green going to come back? Will it be like a flashback or something?

Maybe it will be like on "Dallas" when someone died...................it was just a dream.

I have watched ER from day one too. This was a very sad show, I watched it this morning online...so I didn't see the teaser for next week. I can still remember when Dr Green died..... I miss that character on the series.

dh seems to think so, since when they showed him in the teaser, he hadn't aged.

Gosh, I boohoo'd more when Frank was having his moments. Even though Frank gave Pratt a hard time, I think we was very fond of him.

When his brother pushed his gurney to take him "upstairs", I really lost it. He looked so alive, like he was just sleeping.

I really hope they don't ruin the show this season. It's the last season. Abby's leaving. Everyone is new, except the poor nurses.

I lost it then too, everyone watching him being wheeled by...and Frank when he put his hand on Pratt, I don't usually get "lost" in tv shows but this one did. Will be interesting to see what happpens, I hope the episodes don't start turning into stupid stories, if that makes sense?

OMG!!! last night i wanted to post bc i was a WRECK!!!!! and talk about torture, I REWINDED IT AND WATCHED THE DYING PARTS AND ROLLING HIM UPSTAIRS LIKE 4 TIMES!!!:eek: i couldn't believe it, and FRANK broke my heart...i had to see him run to the elevator, press the button, touch his shoulder then watch his face as he was rolled in, over and over and over again...it was BEYOND sad!!! the other part that i repeatedly watched was, the last time he was alive, while sitting up on the gurney (sp?) and was crying out of fear and morris was suctioning and trying to clamp the carotid....The look and fear on Pratt's face, while he lay there CRYING was heartwrenching!!!! OMG, i can't believe they killed him OFF!!! why couldn't it be someone else...i mean, i like most characters but the oldest MD characters were Abby and Pratt, they had to kill him?????

I think Mark, if its him, will be a dream or reliving...the man is DEAD..and if he's NOT, the show will just be ridiculous!!!

So glad my lab friends were weeping with me:D

Dr. Green and others are coming back in "flashbacks" not really appearing on the show again.

I knew Pratt was going to die just from the beginning of the show, for that I was sad, because he was one of my favorites. :(

Can't believe the level of care Abbie was sluffing off on that poor kid...she coulda killed that kid - I mean I know it's a co-worker/friend that is dying, but still man....you have to do your job and save other people's lives too. (I know it's just a TV show).

I was laughing when Abbie said she didn't want to move, because she didn't think she could leave County.....Yah, well your show is ending and I bet you move!!! LOL.

Anyone know how many episodes there will be this season?

OMG!! I haven't cried like that in a while! I just got finished watching it online b/c my DVR didn't record it last night. How sad?!! I'm sad that Pratt is gone and that this is the last season. BUT...so many of the greatest characters are already gone so I guess it's for the best.

I knew that Pratt dying was coming, but very poignant indeed.

What I also liked was when that playboy pompous resident got his due when he was totally outclassed by the 'inexperienced med student' and how Neela blew him off later.

I thought this was the saddest episode ever, even sadder than when Lucy died.
I really liked Pratt and I can't believe we'll be watching this whole final season without him now!

I totally lost it when he was coughing up blood and tears were streaming out of his eyes and he realized he was going to die. Then, when they wheeled him "upstairs", holy crap!

He will definitely be missed the rest of this season.

I am not an emotional person at all and struggle to name more than a handful of times I have cried at a movie/tv show/etc. but I cried watching this episode. The worst part for me was watching him cry as well. Can you imagine the terror when you are a medical professional and know full well the danger of what is being performed?!? He was my favorite on recent seasons and I am not sure the last season will be the same without him.

Yep. Definitely a tear jerker! I can't believe they took him off. His character went through so much change over the years. Very well written.

I think it'll be cool if Carter comes back. We miss his character.

Did NOT see this coming. Cried. DH laughed at me. Watched it again on Friday. Cried again.

Abbey won't be in very many episodes this season so I think she is going to leave County - as far as I know she is only going to be in a handful, and Luca in like 1. No fun since I love her.

I was not a big Pratt fan, but thought it was pretty sad. Especially, since it was so graphic and looked like such a painful way to go. Poor, Archie.

Just watched it last night, had it recorded. It was awful, that poor Pratt died and his girlfriend who didn't even get to say goodbye to him and then to find out he was going to propose. I have watched since day one and am very upset that the show is ending. I do believe that the Mark Green part will be just a flash back, he was another great one. I'm sure I will be doing a lot of crying this final season.

I read somewhere that Angela Basset will be joining the cast this season. Maybe she will be replacing Pratt in the ER. This is one of the reasons I wanted to watch this season, I love her, but was soooooo sad to see him die.

Last night's episode was just alright. I'm not even sure that was Luca at the end, but a body double perhaps? They didn't really show his face.

Frank is really getting alot of touching scenes this season though, isn't he?

Angela Bassett's character already gets on my nerves. I'd leave County too if she were my boss. What a witch.

There's only 1 original actor left from the original cast, and it's a small part nurse.

I've always loved this show, but I'm already ready for the final season to be over. All the interesting characters have already left.

I'll stay loyal to the end though, cuz I'm just that type of person.:violn:

Yes, I actually liked Chicago Hope better than ER back then.

I was not too impressed with last night's episode. There were parts that I did really like, but generally I think they could have done a better job with her last episode. Seemed strane that Luka did not get more of a goodbye from those there at the end. No hug, nothing but a wave.

I don't like Angela Bessett's character either.

Did any of you notice that the twin boys 'Larry and Curly' that Abby was treating/talking to for their mom where the same twins that played Sam & David on 7th Heaven? I can't believe how much they have grown in the past couple of years either.

Good grief, THANK YOU!!! That was driving me CRAZY! I didn't watch that show, but have seen bits and pieces of a few episodes and I couldn't figure out where on earth those boys were from.

I posted a brief thought about last night's episode in the other thread. I have watched since season 1, episode 1, and it has always been one of my favorite shows. Ever since Abby's character was introduced on the show, she has been my favorite character on there by far, and the show quickly made her one of my favorite actresses. I was seriously crying like a baby at the end of last night's episode...I feel like this show and the old people have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and soon it's going to be over. Abby leaving just did me in...sigh...
