Ok did i miss something:confused:..Who was the "blash from the past" on last night's episode????? At the end of it, i was like, "what the heck??" Did i blink too long or something:eek:??

Wasn't the new ER chief either a patient or had her kid and husband in the ER for treatment...many years before ? The nurse in the beginning keep repeating " don't I know you?" then in the end relaxing after her first day she's all alone with just a pic. of her kid and husband.

But I could be wrong...?

She must have been, because I'm doing a search and while I can't find the episode she was in...not even on IMDB - the following is taken from a site that explains the Dr. Green re-appearance and talks about sheding light on Angela Bassett's character.

"Thankfully, they aren’t trying to raise cancer victim Dr. Greene from the grave. He’ll appear as part of a flashback episode. It seems that new ER chief Dr. Cate Banfield (Angela Bassett) was a patient in the emergency room years ago — before she was a physician — and encountered Dr. Greene. NBC has hinted that other former castmembers will appear in the flashback scenes but hasn’t named any names."

So, yes apparently she was a guest spot some years back.
After watching last night's episode, I kind of feel like they should just say their goodbyes and sign off. I'm not into meeting new interns, etc....I feel like they just threw last night's episode together.....seemed kind of lame.

Yeah i gotta say....Compared to the premier, last nights was GARBAGE!!! and to make us think someone of importance was coming back last night.....Angela Bassett is far from a "guest appearance." She was probably a patient, but she means NOTHING to all of us....They should throw in the towel..

I also looked on IMDB and couldn't find where she had ever appeared on the show before, so if she was the big "return" that was a big let down. So you're all saying I didn't really miss anything? :D

Thank god I was working out when I watched this so I didn't feel like I wasted time on nothing...:D

Well I guess I'm the only one here who thought it was a really great episode...

I'm not quite sure that there was any old cast in this weeks episode. Regardless if there was or not it was still a good show. I will definitely miss it when the series is over.
