Obert is a breeder release, given up on because they were done with her. :( Val (Ozpound) in Kansas, contacted us and of course we had to get her out of there.

Val will be getting her tomorrow, so along with new pics, we'll get more info then. She is being fully vetted on Tuesday and after her 5 day recovery period, she will be flown here to LVLR. (We are still raising the funds to fly her, so if you want to contribute, please PM me!)

Here is what Val has to say about her:

She is good with kids, and dogs, not sure about cats. She was used for breeding but is very laid back and sweet as can be. Should be easily house trained if not already. She is very clean won't step in or lay near anywhere she goes to the bathroom.

She's a lovely lady. It does look like she's crying - yes, I know they don't actually cry but inside maybe they do. I'm glad her life will be easier now.

She looks very sweet & very scared. Poor girl! She is going to have a very good life now.

Ugh. I can't believe she was used for breeding and is only 2!

I know.. so sad. My parents LVLR dog was used for breeding.. a LOT - and even though she is well taken care of now.. it took such a hard toll on her body. She is Heidi's age, but Heidi can do circles around her - and it breaks my heart. :(

I know Val was getting her soon.. so I will update as soon as I get some more pictures/information.

She looks and sounds SO sweet!!

She is scheduled to fly in on Wednesday.. we are still raising donations to get her here, so if you can contribute.. even a few dollars will help. She will need to be spayed once she gets here (her last set of pups were literally ripped right off of her, so she still has milk :( - so the vet wanted to wait a couple weeks).

Bad news.. due to weather and not having quite enough $ yet, she won't be coming in tomorrow. Val says she might have a foster there to hang on to her, so we don't incur any more boarding fees though.

We have so many surrendered/abandoned Labs here in Kansas, it's sickening. My inbox is constantly crammed with messages about dogs that need out ASAP or they'll be euth'd the next day, gorgeous, beautiful and incredibly sweet dogs that aren't there through any fault of their own. So many do make it out to LVLR and the Colorado Lab rescue...why KS/MO doesn't have their own local lab rescues, I have yet to figure out.

Anyway, congrats on another successful rescue!
