So I just bought a new bag of dog food and I happened to read the feeding amts before I threw the bag away and apparently my puppies are supposed to be getting 6 cups a day! They are getting 4 maybe a little less (though they never finish their food...i'll even leave it out all day b/c im afraid they arent eating enough). They are currently on lamb and rice nutro for large breed puppies. Should I up their amt? Though even if I do I dont think they'll eat it all.

No way! Are they very skinny? You will know way better than the bag how much your pups need. If they are not even eating what you leave out now I wouldn't even worry about it!

Nope. Luc is on the same food and is at least 70lbs by now and only eats about 4 cups a day...sometimes 5 but rarely. Roxy only eats 3 to maybe 4 cups a day of the adult formula. As long as they aren't too skinny, I wouldn't worry about it. The guidelines are usually off by a lot anyways.

thanks everyone..that really freaked me out when I read how much they were supposed to be eating and how much they were actually eating. Roght now AJ is a little skinny, but he just popped out two molars so it hurts him a little to eat.

Luc always had a super skinny tummy when he hadn't eaten for a few hours...he is starting to grow out of it mostly so he usually looks "healthy" lol...instead of a starving little boy!
