And...I was setting Rider up for failure. He is so awesome in following my fingers and voice commands....but as you know...it can be so hard to do cross overs, call your dog over obstacles and know where you are on a course.
I was forgetting to point with the hand that was closest to the dog. So, as I was leading Rider across the teeter...I was using my right hand even though he was on my left...and I was pulling him to the right by doing that. SO, he was more inclined to jump off because that is where I was leading him.
The minute I switched lead hands, Rider did very well on the teeter. He still hesitates at the part where it starts to go down, but that will come in time. I have to remember that I am not a spectator on the course.
