I've read that alot of you give your dogs flaxseed oil. I'm wondering how much, how often and what exactly does it do for them. Is it for their coat like fish oil? Can I buy it at a Health food store?

It is one of those good oils and as our guys are eating a natural diet they get 1 tablespoon of oil on their morning meal. It is great for skin and coat. You get it at the health food store and it is in a liquid "Pressed organic oil" You can also get the seeds and grind them in a coffee grinder and add to the food. But both forms need to be kept in the fridge.

Thanks, Labracorn. I'll pick some up and start them on it. It feels so good to be giving all these healthy things to my dogs - I never got into it much in the past but I'm really enjoying it. As are the girls!
