Has anyone had any experience with the Flint River Ranch Premium Dog Food and how 'bout NuVet Labs Canine Suppliment. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has used these products and what you think of them. These are what our breeder have advised that we use when we get our pup. In fact we have to sign an agreement that we will use them in order to enforce any guarantees on the pup. Thanks

Hey quikirk, you wouldn't happen to be getting your lab from Endless Mt Labs would you? I'm getting my pup form there on July 19th and have the same agreement. It's actually only for the Nuvet labs supplement, they just recommend the Flint River Ranch. I personally haven't used these two companies, but have looked into them and they seem pretty good. Plus this is all the breeder uses and they have some really good looking labs.

If you're not getting your pup from endless here's a link

They are very serious about the quality of their dogs and are very involved in showing them competitively. The Flint River is not too much more expensive than your average kibble. I Just ordered the NuVet supplement, this makes up for the food not being too high in protein( this could put unwanted weight on the pup i.e hip dysplasia)

If you decide on the Flint River here's a link to the best price I've been able to find it for

Hopefully this helps

Hello all,
I have been using Nu-Vet plus for almost a year now. I was told it would help replace all the things a dog needs and does not get from his kibble. I've been very happy with it. I was researching a Barf diet for my dogs at the time, and decided against it for something easier, but I stuck with the nu-vet because it is one of the more inexpensive supplements, and I feed nothing but dry food. The only problem with FRR is that they have ingredients that a sensitive dog may be allergic to, and for me it was too expensive. The top 3 irritants are, corn, wheat, and chicken for those with allergies. The one lab I have that is overweight, with sensitivities eats Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice Lite. Wonderful food, less expensive than FRR, and easy to get in most stores. I have a pup I'm raising to be a guide dog and I have to feed him Canidae, and he does very well on that. It is made out here in California though and I'm not sure how available it is elsewhere, but I know they ship in bulk. Hope this helps.....:D

We started using FRR ranch when our yellow lab was 7 months old. (He's now just a little over a year.) Within a few weeks his coat was so much softer. I couldn't believe the number of comments we recieved about it. Our trainer highly recommends it, and I have to say, our lab LOVES it!

I feed Mudd FRR and he seems to be ok with it.
We searched the internet for quality food and decided this was it.
No flakey skin like he was getting with the other food we were feeding him which I can't remember right now.
I found a person who discounts this food if you are interested.

Both BIGRED and I are ordering from the same person.
She does discount somewhat as compared to the other distributors of FRR.
