I've noticed a lot of the doggie treat recipes call for whole wheat flour instead of the regular flour. In lieu of making another trip to the store is it okay to use the regular flour instead? (I always get the unbleached).

I think that you could use the unbleached flour instead of the whole wheat flour. The texture might be a bit different and maybe the colour. I think the whole wheat flour is used for the fibre content (just guessing!). I usually have a bag of whole wheat flour on hand to make whole wheat bread with my bread machine. Guess I'm just a whole wheat fanatic.:p:

I've tried the soy flour and rice flour in place of the whole wheat. The texture is much different, but the cookies are still loved by the Labs!
