ahhh... Summertime: must have Ice Cream... (well not exactley ice cream but I hear doggies think it is :-) I found this recipe on the internet today we havent fixed it for Roxy yet...
FROSTY PAWS ICE CREAM
32 oz. vanilla yogurt
1 mashed banana or one large jar of baby fruit
2 T. peanut butter
2 T. honey
Blend all together and freeze in either 3 ounce paper cups or ice cube trays. Microwave just a few seconds before serving.
NOTE: This can also be made with baby meat instead of the fruit and peanut butter.

Great recipe I'm sure Jedi will love it. By the way, I hope you mean canned baby food when you say "baby meat".?

I make this for my schnauzers about once every other week as they both have pancreatitis. I decrease the peanut butter and increase the fruit. They still love it. One tip: spray Pam or similar product into a large muffin tin( I use a double size pan) and freeze the frosty paws in that. Slides out very easy and easier for them to hold onto w/ their paws.

I made this for Jackson, he is a big fan of Frosty Paws, and he absolutely loved it!
I used lowfat vanilla yogurt, banana baby food, honey, and lowfat peanut butter.
What an easy way to make his favorite summertime treat!!!!

I just bought a 4-pack of Frosty Paws at Petco and will try it on the kiddies tonight, then I plan on making the recipe suggested along with the bacon/egg treats. Has to be much cheaper then buying treats via the store.

The kids and I got as close as we could to the frosty paws recipe with the ingredients at hand..vanilla yogart, maple syrup (no honey avail) and applesause (no baby food avail). The big dogs swallowed it in one mouthful--doubt they even had time to taste it! The baby licked and licked it gently until I broke it literally in dime sized pieces and ladylike ate them and wanted more. Imagine a lab a genteel eater!

I made these treats using yogurt and lamb baby food. I used furkidmom's tip about spraying a muffin tin with Pam and freezing them in that, and it worked great -- nice individual size servings and Molly can grasp it with her paws really well. She looooves them, but I felt like throwing up when I was mixing it together, so I think I'll try the PB, banana, & honey ones next time -- I might even freeze a couple of those in popsicle holders for myself -- sounds yummy! :)

Yum! I'm going to try this recipe. Thanks for posting it. My only problem will be keeping the hubby and kids away from them.
