I have submitted an online adoption application with Adopt a lab Indiana. I have tried to contact them via email and a phone number I found online with no luck. This will be our families first dog so we are new at the process. Any info on this agency? Any other suggestions for Indiana adoptions?

How long have you waited?

the reality of rescue is it is a bunch of volunteers with full time jobs trying to also care for the dogs, take care of foster homes, take care of foster dogs, take care of their own dogs, take care of their own FAMILIES (human!) as well as manage in boxes for the rescue.

at times the rescue I work with need about 10 days to return e-mails. I have heard of rescues needing more than that.

It may also help to provide more information about what you are looking for and what your lifestyle is, and to be open to more than one specific dog (though you can show primary interest in one particular dog, be open to meeting others)

It has been about 10 days. Thanks for the input. I will be patient. We are just so excited to get a dog. The questions on the application were pretty specific. So now I just need to be patient!
