Fulton is rescue friendly, no pull fees, dogs are hw tested and receive their initial vaccinations for parvo/bordetella, and transport within IL is usually available through the volunteers. If anyone is interested in helping one of the following dogs, please contact the HS as soon as possible. The office is staffed a limited amount of hours per week so email will probably receive the quickest response. However, an email and a call might be the best method to ensure someone gets the message. Ohhhh, poor Beatrice! I emailed to get more info on her. I would be more then happy to sponser her if a local rescue stepped in? Anyone.......

Mo is EXTREMELY urgent.
We have said we will take Beatrice, and i beleive another rescue has also said they would like to help her.
If you can help any of these dogs please dont delay. 2 dogs went down yesterday, and more will go down over the next few days if no one steps in to help.
The volunteers are GREAT to work with, and will always give you every bit of info they have on the dogs.

I went and looked at Mo's picture....boy...can I ever understand why he stole your heart. He makes you want to run to that shelter and take him home Please let me know if you can help him....I pray that you can. he is a doll.....they all are.

The clock is ticking for Mo, he is up near the top of the euth list, and will be one of the next ones to go once more dogs come in. he is marked on the site as Urgent but needs to be considered CRITICAL.

I haven't given up on Mo. I called them and he is actaully at a city pound. They gave me the number to the officer that knows more about him. I left a message with him and I am waiting for a call back. I feel sooo bad. I am doing all that I can. I told them I wouldn't be able to take him until next week tho. I can't do 2 puppies and him at the same time. I will keep you posted once I hear back from the officer.

Let me know if you need Mo boarded or something I will help with with money.

I am getting the run around on where this dog is at. I was now told by the officer that he doesn't have the dog in the city pound. So I called the other guy back and he gave me a different #. I just called it and left a message saying that I would like this dog and I want to know a little more about him. I will keep you posted.

If either of the GSD rescues taking chance are in IL, let them know we will happily courtesy post Chance for them. I tried to get a foster for him, we just have a very hard time with the shepherds :(

BTW, for anyone ever wanting to work with Fulton Co, they are GREAT with temperament testing and will also take any dog back that doesn't work out. They do amazing work and need all the help they can get.

Wendy has updated me and it looks like alot of the dogs will have a rescue.

Chance, the 9 yr. old Germ. Shep Mix, will go to a German Shep rescue in Illinois I believe tomorrow,
McKenzie is going to a rescue, Francene may go to a rescue in MN, if she is not reclaimed tomorrow.

I just rcvd. a reply from a Husky Rescue in Illinois, who may be interested in taking the 2 Husky Girls there.

I believe that Boomer and Solomon have a rescue.

Little Zeta, the Rottie girl still needs something-
way too focussed on cats, dominant with dogs and any children would need to be older, preferably teenage.

Boomer was brought to a local veterinary office after being hit by a car. The Vet's office repaired the damage to his hind left leg but now Boomer needs a home of his own. He is 9 to 11 months old and neutered. This guy has a sweet disposition. Please email for further information. If you are interested in this dog please email or call the HS office at 309-647-5077.

I am not sure but I got confirmation on tuesday that mckenzie is going to a group in IN.

Glad to hear McKenzie is safe. Then it's only the other Labs,

Black and Chocolate we have to worry about. Think some are PureBreds.

Mo aka Moose arrived yesterday. He is a 70lb black lab. He is beautiful. Very solid. He is a sweetheart. He loves kids, cats and other dogs. He isn't nuetered yet but he is going in tomorrow for that. Him and Boomer play awesome together in the backyard. He knows sit already and does well on a leash.

Where is McKenzie?

I am his foster mom that was the only way we could take him. Mckenzie went somewhere in IN a rescue group there.

Mo was adopted out on saturday!!! :)
