My husband made me a Wedding Serenade tape with my soul music: Beatles, Mama Cass, Patsy Cline, Burton Cummings, Doris Day, Marlene Dietrich, Roberta Flack, Billie Holiday, Billy Joel, Elton John, Elvis Presley, Paul Simon.

I can't play the tape anymore for fear of breakage; but if I were getting married today, the Wedding Serenade would be on a CD, and he'd have room to add Queen and a few other surprises.

Calley's People - My two favorite GBS songs are Turn and Miss Mary Mac...That is also my favorite album. My husband is in the Navy, and we spent alot of time in Halifax, which is very close to St. John's which is apparently where they are from, we also have a great Auditorium where they appear about once a year... needless to say, I have seen them about 20 times! Great show, you should get to one!

We have been lucky enough to see them numerous times! They are one of the best bands live. My two favorite CDs are Turn and Sea Of No Cares. So many of their songs are my favorites. It is great that someone else on here likes them! We hope to get to Newfoundland some day to see them in their hometown (home of Labrador Retrievers too, of course!)

I have my iPod in my truck now ..... I think there are about 1200 songs on it so it'd take me too long to list all of them.

I do however, have the new Sarah McLachlan, which is ok, but just ok.

the iPod starts at 10,000 Maniacs and ends with Yaz. Inbetween I've got .....

Ani DiFranco
Beastie Boys
Coldplay
Frank Sinatra
Jack Johnson
Michael Penn
Poe
Run DMC
Throwing Muses

and just tons of other stuff. I like to put it on random and listen to Metallica and then an Etta James song .....keeps it from getting boring!

But I must confess that I am a talk radio geek - the news and sports radio stations are 1 and 2 on my preset.
