There is also a pretty black lab 6-month old female named Taffy at this same shelter. She looks an awful lot like my Raven.

They say on Petfinder that Taffy is about 6 mo old & loves to play - she is very scared in the pound - needs a family to love her

Been looking, but have to convince my SO. There are so many dogs that are inviting. It's hard. Been thinking about giving up on a choc.

Joe, I have a 6 mo choco female that survived Parvo, so you know she's strong. :)

Linda, I looked at the choc on your LOIN website. Is the pic for choc 2 on the site the one you are talking about? It looks like the same pic that was recently on your signature, and I thought that to be Simon. Joe...

Um, excuse me please, but who are you? I just looked at the petfinder site and there is indeed some confusion. At the top of the form, it says the dog's name is Tuffy; in the notes it says Taffy. In the gender line it says male; in the notes the dog is referred to as a "she." No where, however, did it say anything about the dog being "hyper" or trying to "chew on your hands." Would you please tell us where you got your information? I also think if you happen to be basing this on personal opinion, telling us your experience with young labs would be helpful to us. A healthy lab will have energy, drive, and an exhuberance for life; that is part of the joy and beauty of this breed. It also normal for lab to be occasionally mouthy; that just needs redirected and that isn't hard to do.

2 of my 3 Labs were mouthy when they were pups, didn't make them bad dogs...so I agree with you Abbeygirl, it is all normal puppy behavior :tup2:

I agree with you Susan an Lori....Labs pups are full of energy and can be mouthy at times..."normal Lab puppy behavior"...I really hate to see these poor babies judged so unfairly...I do not see where it says anything about him being "hyper and biting at your hands" ...It is so unfair to label a dog in this way so that is reduces his chance for adoption....I think that many shelter workers are inexperienced and have no clue about the characteristics of certain breeds....I will hope and pray that this dog finds a home...I feel so sad for him.... :worried:
