when should i begin teaching her the hunting stuff. she is, well, will be 12 weeks on dec 5 2003 (tomorrow). i have been working with her on sit, stay, down, etc. we got the sit and well kinda got stay. please help!!!!!!

Are you training a hunting companion? An AKC Hunt Test Dog? Or a AKC field trial dog?

If you are training a hunting dog, then you can start maybe like 6-8 months of age.

If you are wanting an AKC competitor then you will need to start now.

4 months: Start solidifying obedience with a prong collar.
When adult teeth come in begin force fetching.
Seek the help of a pro if you are familiar with these
training techniques.
