Back when I was in college, and lived at home, I had a yellow lab named Luca. I literally took him with me everywhere ~ he was my baby. He was so well behaved, that my biology professor would let me bring him with me to class ~ he would lay quietly at my feet. When I got married, the townhome community we lived in did not allow pets, so he stayed with my parents. When we bought our first home, he and my dad had become so attached that we decided it would be best for him to live with my parents. My parents are local, so we were able to visit regularly. He was always so excited to see us, and our children. Today we helped him cross the rainbow bridge. He was 13 years old.

So sorry for your loss. No matter how long we get to have them, it always hurts when we lose them. May your happy memories together ease the pain that you are feeling.:hug:
