OMG... I need to get this on video.. My dog Carmel is I swear part "Cow" seriously she has her dinner then goes out and grazes for 10-15 min... Its so weird.. she doesnt throw up either when she is done.. I think she supplements her meals with grass... part lab part Bovine..LOL.. any body else have a serious grass eater??? I feed her Kirkland Chicken and Rice... twice a day and after each meal she grazes and then does her business.. weird...

Bucko loves grass but I don't think he swallows most of it. His favorite past time is ripping it out of the ground with his teeth and spitting it out.:D

Carmel eats it with great enthusiasm.. Or maybe she is part goat?! LOL

Our dear departed Daisy loved to graze. She always picked the tallest, juiciest looking grass. Our new pup Chloe loves biting the heads off of dandilions. Yuck.

Maxwell started eating grass the other day... never ever had any interest in it before.

He hasn't gotten sick.

My black lab Dylan loves to pull on the really long grasses that grow wild.

Barb, that is what Maxwell has started to do. He leaves the "regular" grass alone... he only has interest in the long/thick grass.

Cash will ignore "regular" grass, but the taller, thicker stuff (the kind you'd tackle with a weed whacker) is apparently really yummy... he eats it every chance he gets. Never vomits, though. We actually learned that Cash is allergic to grass (among other things) so we wonder if he's instinctively trying to treat himself homeopathically for the allergy.

I am the proud owner of not one, but TWO Labracows! :D My dad takes it a step further and calls them the Vegetarians. ;)

Seen as most of your dogs eat the tall grass, why not cut it then it will be the same length....:teehee: Cadbury eats grass all kinds and like to prune all flowers and hedge the bushes too... I swear she was a gardener in her past life...LOL

I just tell people how much money I save on food when the grass is growing well.

Midas is the only true grazer. When we first go outside, he can't walk without swinging his head back and forth and chomping on the grass as we walk.

Mason and Kya only graze if nothing else more fun is going on. I've seen Midas stop mid-sprint after a ball to graze on an (apparently) particularly succulent piece of grass lol.

Toby likes the grass too. He actually perfers the weeds... I should really get rid of those!

Mine are all cows. If I could get them in line and move them all around the yard, I could save a lot on mowing!

Gunner grazed a bit too much yesterday and left me a gift of two nice throw-up piles in my car made up completely of grass, flowers, and weeds. Love that pup. :D

Yes. It drives me INSANE because I don't consider our yard clean enough for the dogs to eat it. I am forever yelling at them to leave it because we do use fertilizer from time to time and I don't think that's safe for them...it scares me!

If we lived in the country and they were just chomping the tall wild grasses - I wouldn't give a flip. But our grass..eeehhhh. And Annie's horribly allergic to it, so I REALLY don't want her eating it. Of course, she thinks it's a delicacy.

I'm convinced it's a lab thing...each time I go to the dogpark, the only dogs munching away on the grass are labs. They'll actually all find a nice grassy area and munch together. While the other dogs are playing non-stop, the labs are taking a grass-eating break!

Raodi eats dandelions, especially the flowers. I know dandelion leaves are okay for people, so it doesn't worry me too much. I've heard they're good for the liver (not sure if that's true). Makes me very glad I don't use chemicals in my yard!
