I'm not actually part of the book club and I'm not sure if you all read stuff that is related to animals only, but I just wanted to say that I just finished reading Stephen Kings new book "Cell", and it is AMAZING!!
I thought it was a bit weird and gory to start with, but I got really attached to the characters and actually cried at a few parts of the book-it is so good, it definately reeled me in.
I just wanted to recommend it, it is one heck of a book-I can't wait for his next one now.... :) The next one is called "Liseys story" and is out in the fall I think. There is a little taster of it in the back of "Cell", and I'm hooked already lol! :D

I am a big Stephen King fan from way back to the movie Carrie! I haven't read anything of his recently but will pick up Cell and read it over the summer.
Did you see any of the moives made from his books? Christine, Misery and Cujo were some awesome movies in their time.

Yes, I have seen lots of his movies, and some of the series "Kingdom Hospital"-all great!
I recently saw a tv movie called "Storm of the century" by Stephen King, it was just brilliant-an evil guy came to a small town and started causing trouble by telling people things he shouldn't know....(like cheating on partners, bad things they had done basically) Then he demanded that they give him a child to raise as his own and teach his "skills", or he would kill the whole town.
They drew stones (like drawing straws) and gave him a child!! It was a really good film.
"Cell" is an amazing book - hope you get a chance to get it and read it. :tup2: :) It's about a weird virus that is spread by using cell phones, it sends the user insane, or they die. The characters just draw you in and really make you care what happens to them. Brilliant.
Can you tell I love this book... ;)
I will shut up now.... :D

Ooohhh, Cell sounds good. I will get it next time I am at the library. I have Shes come undone which I am reading right now and Beach House to read that I picked up the other day. I just love the library. My DD loves to read too and wants to "win" the school summer reading challenge. She came in second place last year.
I watched Some of Kingdom Hospital too,I didn't get to watch the whole series.
