Ok all you experts. I would like to get a lens for my Canon Powershot A630. Things is, I don't know my butt from my elbow about these things. What I want is a lens that will capture fantastic detail from close up or from far away. Is that telephoto or supertelephoto or what? I have seen telephoto lenses all over the net for like $60. Are they crap? And what kind would I need? 2X? 3X? Help. I am completely clueless!

I am clueless too on the smaller lenses for that type of camera. If it was me, I'd go find a store that has the different lenses and comparison shop. If you end up liking the higher end lens and it's a few $$ more, wait till you can come up with the $$. That way you'll always be happier instead of feeling like you settled.
