Shaq is now at 93 lbs. His vet would like him to be about 80 lbs. I tried switching him to a low fat chicken and rice diet but it made him itch all the time. He started eating Pro Pac Performance Puppy and at 1 year we switched to Pro Pac Lamb & Rice. I will paste the work-up on the food and I am looking for imput. His coat is beautiful right now, no itching, no infections of any kind, just overweight. He gets exercised every day, twice a day by a 13 y/o and a 15y/o. (they have endless energy that also needs to be burned) He does get table food occasionally, but not on a regualr basis. He does not care too much for carrots or other vegs. Here's the info on food and please give me some opinions. Thanks!

PRO PACŪ Lamb Meal & Rice is formulated to eliminate common meat ingredients (such as beef, fish or poultry) and common grain ingredients (such as corn, wheat or soybeans). Only the highest quality lamb meal combined with rice and rice products are used to provide the protein sources needed to promote healthy skin and a glossy coat. PRO PACŪ Lamb Meal & Rice is an alternative food that compares with the special diets veterinarians have long recommended for allergy sensitive dogs. PRO PACŪ Lamb Meal & Rice is naturally preserved, contains no by-products, and is 100% guaranteed. Available in 4 lb., 8 lb., 20 lb. and 33 lb. bags.

Two questions - how many cups of the kibble do you feed him per day and how many kcals are in each cup (I could not find kcals on their website)?

The healthiest (IMO) way to lose the fat is to cut kibble by 25%, increase exercise, and supplement with low calorie/fat free veges like green beans or carrots. This helps them to feel full without provided extra calories. It's not the quickest method, but I think it's the healthiest.
