Tango is 8 months male.. He is sniffing, mouthing and looking for something to eat all the time, does it mean he is hungry? He is fed 3 times a day according to the Feed Chart printed on Dry Food pack. He also gets his treats. Whenever we have fruit, he gets his pick and whenever we have tea/coffee he gets his crackers. I tend to control his intake for fear of his putting on too much weight .. whereas my wife feels I keep him hungry !! though his weight is normal.
would appreciate comments. Thanks.

What kind of food do you feed him? And how much? Labs are just moochers anyway, whenever I go to the kitchen, and Bailey is in a dead sleep, he will totally wake up and go into the kitchen to make sure he isnt missing anything!;)

He definatley has a nose for food. He always acts like he is hungry too, although, he is well feed and gets occasional treats and veggies and plain yogurt.

I can feed Nellie her dinner and two minutes later she is at my side in the kitchen begging for everything. She would eat all day if I let her. :)

I think Flint would eat 10 cups a day if I would give it to him....I have never seen a lab that wouldnt...nothing to worry about

We can't say the word "Hungry" in this house unless it's time for Olive to eat. Even if she *just* finished her meal. Otherwise she thinks it's time for her to eat again and she won't stop pestering us until she at least gets a "cookie". I swear she is the bottomless pit!

Tanner would eat his entire bag of dog food if he could get to it. I don't think he'd ever stop. We usually don't feed him treats, but if he hears someone in the kitchen, he's there in search of something they may have dropped.

Glad to have read this thread.. cos I used to think the same about Max.. he is constantly in search for food.. He is not allowed into the kitcehn.. but if he ever finds the door open.. he'll start licking up the floor for anything he can get off there..!!
and I feed him fruits too.. Hope thats ok.. not much though just a few tiny bits of apple and carrots.

We feed all sort of raw fruits and veggies to our three. They love fruit which includes pineapple, cherries, strawberries, oranges (especially Clementines). Our Jake will swipe two oranges at a time, and sneak off to enjoy his snacks.
Bo and Jake were on the BARF diet, so their systems are used to it. Rose is learning slowly, her favorite fruit is banana.
They all love carrots, and we use those for treats alot.

In 7 th month Simba was also 65 lbs. Now he is 80. Are u always give him dryfood? Today morning I gave him 1 egg and bread, he ate that  normally he do not eat anything in morning. I also do not want to give him lots of food and make him heavy. Or some time I guess that my motherly eyes always see that hw eats less.:p:

I would stick to dry dog food only and some fruit/veggies as snacks. Labs tend to put on weight fast if they eat too much, exercise to little. Lots of table food isn't good for any dog unless they are on the BARF diet. Simba should be able to eat 1 cup of food morning and 1 cup at night. Remember, Labs will always appear to be hungry.:brow:

LionKing thanks...I actually own the 2 puppies (11wks old) and owned an adopted 8 yr old yellow girl and 5 yr old yellow boy. Yes Simba could go with 1 1/2 cups two times a day! Many on this board had one lab and got another....with out any problems. You have to decide if you will get another puppy or a dog the age of Simba. How is Simba with other dogs?

I am thinking of getting a puppy around 7 weeks old.Simba is very nice with other dogs. But he is hyper he is only 10 months old. I am finding a good dog breeder, my previous one was not nice. I am only scared about fighting them very much ( I heard some stories in this chat board). And what will be the work load? Do you know any good breeder? I can drive 1 hour also.
