Although the bantering of "why do you hunt" is tempting to post in..., I don't think I'm going to bother giving my 2 cents- cause I don't know that you can really convey the joys of hunting behind a great dog to those that have never experienced anything like it...

Anyhoo- Just though I'd post some pics of Gus's new huntin' buddy. This little choco "doggess", is a joy to hunt with (as is her owner)... and it's so nice to finely find someone to go out with, that has a grasp of what a real hunting dog should do :cool: . Sorry to say- we had to find these hunting buddys tword the end of the season, and the dog's were a little dissapointed that we couldn't drop anything- but it was still a lot of fun. :brow:

This is Cindy... She's going to give Gus a run for his money in the field- but it's so nice to have more than one dog to run! Real nice little dog. :D I'm going to see if I can talk her owner into joining this board- try to solicit some more huntin' folks :p: :

Then a little pheasant/quail hunting in the after noon...

And even though we didn't get to make any retrieves...

a fiew flaired ducks and flushed pheasants later,
you end up with some pretty happy dogs :) .

Let's hear it for all those Huntin' dogs out there like Cindy!
