Hi Everyone

I have a 8 week old chocolate lab puppy - Max. I would like some ideas on what to stuff a kong with for him. I have tried treats, which works fine. I also have tried smashing up a banana and mixing it with plain yougurt and freezing it. He was not to keen on that one but I think he may just be to small to grasp the concept. If any one has any ideas or suggestions, I would appreciate it.

thanks Much
Kim

Grated carrots mixed with a little bit of peanut butter is good.

Green beans.

I use peanut butter and he loves it with yogurt frozen in it.... They also have a filler you can buy at the pet store, it is made by kong and is like spray cheese in a can, comes in peanut butter, and other flavors....

I use creamy peanut butter with bananas and sometimes some american cheese. Be careful about the carrots, I gave Nellie whole baby carrots when she was about 3 months old. It was horrible! She had it coming out both ends for about 3 hours! Maybe if I had grated them she could have digested them, I'm not sure.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I am having a hard time finding something that Max likes. Maybe its because he is only 8 weeks old and doesn't know what to do with the Kong yet. Also, I am afraid of giving him anything that may upset his system because he is so small yet. Right now he has just been chewing on it by itself and sometimes I put a few small treats in it. Hopefully he will figure out what to do with it.

thanks again

Try going to the Kong web site. I believe they have recipes there. I have a pamphlet from Kong that has lots of ideas, I'm sure they'd also be on the web site.
