I was just looking in here and saw questions about feeding & dropping the 3rd meal????EEEKKK...I've been feeding Mo(16 weeks old TODAY:bday: ) 4 times a day, 1 cup each time of Innova Large Breed Puppy. That is what is on the bag. When I met with the vet (Mo was 7 weeks old) he told me 4x's/day and I think it was 1/2cup each time. I started increasing as he got older & what is on the bag. Mo looks fine but, what should I do & when? I read 6 months old cut down to twice a day...any advice is greatly appreciated...Thanks

Three times a day, 3/4 cup to one cup each meal is a good place to start. Adjust the amount up or down based on what he looks like after a couple weeks. You should be able to feel his ribs pretty easily, but not see them. Cut out that third meal (but keep your amount the same) after six months of age. You should notice a nice reduction in the amount of poop, also.

Switching to 2x/day and adult food at 6 months is fine.
I must say though that 4 cups a day for a 16 week old pup is an awful lot.
Following the instructions on the bag often leads to over feeding. The more you feed the sooner you have to buy a new bag. I have always fed less than indicated on the bag.
