I just wanted to pass along some information I got today at the dog park.

The trails part of the park closes during the winter months for hunting, except on sundays. The woman who told me the info said the closing happens mid-to late Sept.

This does not mean that the park is closed - just the trails part. The field and part of the river front will still be opened. The area that Zencat and I were for most of our visit will remain opened.

I just wanted to pass along that info so noone would be disappointed at labfest.

Thought I would put this out for opinion: Heather and I were talking today about how it might be nice to offer a donation to Friends of Southbury Dog Park who maintain this (VERY NICE) park. Heather tells me the park is quite crowded on weekends, and we will be a fairly big crowd ourselves I think, so it might be a nice gesture.

What does everyone think? Can we chip in a few dollars per dog since this is a town and not a state park?
