I watched a news item the other day that went like this:
2 focus groups of women, the first ate a bagel and light cream cheese for breakfast, the other two eggs and toast. Both had the same amount of calories.

The group that ate the eggs lost weight faster because they weren't nibbling as much all day. The eggs have the effect of making you feel more full.

I have tried it the last two days and I have to say that after having cereal and juice for breakfast I would be starving an hour or two later. With 1 egg, a pinch of salsa instead of ketchup and two pieces of wwatchers bread I haven't had that starving feeling. Just my :2cents:

After reading this I decided to have "breakfast for dinner" and made eggs and toast...and added a couple slices of turkey bacon.

Exactly! I have an egg or two for breakfast almost every day. Ceral and or toast just will not cut it!!

Usually I have to have little snack like a jello before lunch since I don't get to go untill 2pm to lunch.....but otherwise I'm full most of the day! :D :D

Now, wait the study said they lost more weight?? how come that's not working for me yet!? :floor :floor

I agree....Eggs are very high in protein and protein stays with you longer and helps you to feel full.
Actually, it is a good idea to add protein to every meal for quicker weight loss!

They said that a boiled or poached type egg is better, I imagine taking away the butter etc would be the key.

Yeah eggs!! :thumb4: I work on an egg farm, so I do root for food that signs my paychecks :) I have a hard boiled egg most every morning with a WW smoothie. It gets me through to lunch for low WW points. I started the egg thing when I started WW in January. 25 pounds down so far & still working :p:

:tup2: Wow, that's interesting. It must be the good protein in eggs.

I've got to try this myself. I'm wanting a snack (cereal bar) at about 10:00 a.m. after eating a bowl of cereal with rice milk for breakfast at 7:00 a.m..

Good luck with your diet :).
