I need help ASP. I have a 2year old Yellow Lab that the city of Tekoa Wa. wants to kill. He was accused of biting a 8 year old boy. I asked for proof that it was my dog as he has never bitten anyone and is not a aggressive dog. The child was ruff playing in another neighbors yard with their Chow. The Chow has bitten before. My Lab did get out our yard and was running lose. The City of Tekoa don't put down dogs humanely. They take them out in to a field and shot them and then dump the bodies in to a pound out side the city. If they show me proof that my dog did bit the child then I'll have him put down by my Vet. But I want more then just hear say. I want pictures of the bite mark and proof that it was my Lab and not the Chow. I need help saving my dog’s life and time is running out for him. What a horrible situation. I would think that they would need some kind of proof that your dog did indeed bite this child. Why are they saying it was your dog? Did someone witness this?

Deifnitely ask for proof that it was your lab. I bet you're entitled to a hearing if you ask for one, too.

I've ask for a hearing , but haven't gotten a reply yet. Tekoa is a very small town where most of the town is related in someway. My family moved here about a year ago and are still out siders. That being the case when one of the "Family" have something
against you (Like buying the house they wanted) then you have the whole town at you against you. hats the case here. Our nieghbor don't like our lab or us and he's the one who said JD bite the kid. No matter what I tell the city it wont matter.Even if it cost me every penny we make I will save JD and be able to keep him home.
