it was a long weekend -- Friday the Winnebago LRC trials, then Saturday and Sunday we were at Marshfield KC in Amherst Junction, WI.
Jill got her NA title on Sunday, after NQing both Standard runs on Friday and Saturday. At Winnebago on Friday she seemed sluggish and like she was not really trying -- she blew contacts and dropped bars. On Saturday she took off too early when jumping the broad jump and landed right on top of the last board; it was an otherwise nice run. Ugh. However she had a beautiful standard run Sunday, scored 100, finished 1st, and finished her title. Funny, I noticed that she blew a contact on Friday which was OUTSIDE but had no trouble with her contacts at the INSIDE trials. wonder it that means something???
She was really close to getting her NAJ title too; got a leg Friday, but in each JWW run Saturday and Sunday she took down ONE bar. Just ONE. Really nice runs otherwise, I was thrilled with her effort. She knocked one down with her TAIL after I rear-crossed her. The other one, I'm not sure why it went down.
We need to train more on getting her to accurately estimate her jump take-offs and I need practice rear crossing with her. all in all it was a fun weekend but we are TIRED! :)
