someone had recommended buying Jumbone for thier dog and that they loved it- I read the nutritional information and it contains animal byproducts which i thought was the whole animal such as lips, liver etc. Do other people feed thier dogs Jumbone-

Jack loved it, and then afterward I had read the nutritional info- although i hate taking everything bad away from him- I used to also give him pigs ears and they are so greasy, and now I know they are bad for him too and may contain traces of salmonella. Help- need some good bone recommendations that he will like and spend lots of time chewing. we have also used nylabone, but those dont always occupy his time as much as the others.

Puppy jack.

Why not a real bone. The shank bone from the leg until he gets used to it you may want to trim off any meat, fat and take out some of the marrow otherwise these are great. They will last a long time have no chemicals and clean their teeth wonderfully. But they must be raw natural bones any type of processing that would cause heat basically cooks or alters the structure of the bone causing them to be brittle. Check out a butcher shop or meat department of your grocery store. (soup bones) and always supervise while they are chewing and enjoying these wonderful treats.

I agree, after reading the ingredients on them a while back, I refuse to even give one to my girls to try as they are loaded with sugar (and other nasty ingredients). I don't see a reason to give such a chew when you can find TONS of healthy chews out there.
