Hi I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Zoe(11 months) is currently on Iams Large Breed puppy food and I want to switch her soon. I was just wondering what types of food people recommmend?
Also should I switch her to a large breed or just a regular adult food? She's fairly tiny(11 months and 61 lbs)
Thank you very much

I use Eukanuba...they're the best because of their dental defense. I'd def. keep her on Large Breed adult food though no matter which you choose. She may be small, but she's still big..ha. Hope this helps.

I'd put her on a regular adult dog food. Large breed adult dog foods are a gimmick.
I hate to reccomend foods. I like to give a person things I'd avoid in a pet food then let them find a food and see if it works on their dog.
Things I avoid in a pet food: Added coloring, added flavoring, the chemical preservatives BHA, BHT, and Ethoxyquin, food fragments (Nutro does an excellent job at using a number of food fragments in their foods), and a food with things such as beef tallow (tallow is a rock hard fat that is about undigestible. I'll also avoid any food that has a grain as the first ingredient. I want a food that has a meat meal, or a food like Innova which has two meat sources and then a meat meal. I won't feed a food that is has merely something like Chicken as the first ingredient, I want to see Chicken Meal instead. I also like to avoid foods that are very high in wheat and corn. If it is listed farther down the list, then its OK.
Usually, when you avoid the things I had listed, you'll find a good food. Eukanuba is an alright food in my opinion - you can find better than that but a number of dogs do do quite well on it (just like other foods). I personally don't think they're any better of a food just because they have dental defense stuff in it either. My dogs certainly aren't on any food that has any kind of a dental defense stuff in their foods and they're teeth are pearly white.

If you want to stay with an Iams product try the regular adult Eukanuba maintenance. Like YD03 said, LB adult foods are a gimmick. Your dog gets nothing out of that food that it won't get from a regular adult maintenance food.
This might help you make the decision.
