Hi there!
I know it's hard to determine if a lab pup has stopped growing and that some still grow after 2 years. Anyway, just curious if anyone of you can recall any observations related to the moment your lab stopped growing? Like for example, loss of appetite, etc..?
Thanks,

Well I can't say I pinpointed the exact moment but I think weight gain showed me growth had at least slowed substantially. At about one year of age for both of mine. My breeder required reports that included twice a month weights till 18 months of age so I was pretty on top of weight gain. When the same amount of food resulted in greater weight gain for a couple of times in a row I cut food back.
Loss of appetite? No way, that would mean mine were sick. :)

No need to start separate threads for the same question ;) Different lines grow at different rates, so telling you when MY dog stopped growing will tell you nothing about yours. If you're really that concerned, take her to the vet...an xray of her long bones will tell you if her growth plates are closed yet and you'll have your answer.

There is a shape change in the bones if I remember right. An experienced vet can tell if growth plates have closed.
