Adorable butterball will be up for adoption soon. Well 5 more weeks as he's only 3 and 1/2 weeks old. He is an odd part blonde part black pup. The front half is blonde and the back half is black. Cute white toes on back feet and little milk dribble looking marks under his mouth. I'll get his pics up as soon as possible. He thinks he is really big and tough and will come out of his box and start barking at you. Only for Oklahoma City area.

Is this a puppy you have rescued? What happened to mom? Anything else you can tell us? Is puppy going out through a rescue with vetting done? I can see you are new here... WELCOME. This board is VERY rescue friendly, we love to help dogs in need. I can't wait to see a picture, he sounds adorable!

no he has a mom but the mom is a stray. it's my fiancees family that cares for them(ie. feeds) they aren't huge animal lovers though so all they do is feed them. I've been trying to convince them to get the female fixed because I can't afford it but they refuse. they say it is a waste of money. I'm working with another dog that seems like she is adoptable so I may start looking for a home for her too. They have called the animal shelter but they refuse to come get the dogs and we can't get any of them in a car or anything to take them. They trapped some pitbulls in their garage one time and called the Oklahoma City Animal shelter to come get them but after a the animal shelter tried saying they weren't in their district then figuring out they were they were told just to let them loose because the animal shelter didn't care and didn't want to drive that far to pick up two dogs(male and female) and that it wasn't worth it.

oh update on his description because I got a really good look at him today(mom is being less protective now) his undercoat is black and his top coat is blonde. sometimes he looks half anf half though because of the angle he lays at
he also has white cheeks as well as the white lines down his chin

Wow, sounds like ya'll have a major stray problem around there. Are the dogs wild or just skittish? Mabe a local rescue could help you get some humane traps for the dogs but then they'd need to go somewhere... anybody with more experience have ideas on this subject?

Our local rescue only takes dog from the local kill shelter and the shelter won't take them or even consider coming to get them. We wouldn't have the stray problem if the shelter would take in the dogs because when the shelter refuses to take them then they bring them out to the country and dump them.

Plus the kill shelter and the recue share a building so neither of them have much space.
