Just wanted to let everyone know that we received our Non-Profit status from the IRS this week. YEH! Only took about a month for approval. We are quite pleased. So far, we've adopted out about 22 dogs since we started.

As most rescue groups, we are in desperate need of foster homes. If you are in the Greater Richmond area, please check us out: www.labrescue-richmond.org (http://www.labrescue-richmond.org). We provide the medical care and ask that you provide the love, shelter, food, etc.

Thanks!

Amy:)

Amy,
Congrats. I have a fundraising tip for you if you haven't already thought about it and if you are interested.

Each spring & fall when NASCAR visits Richmond, we always stop by the local grocery store near our hotel. And every Saturday that we are there a local rescue sets up a "booth" at the grocery. We always make a point to stop by the booth and drop a few $$ in their donation jar or buy a trinket or 2.

September's race is just around the corner and now that your rescue is 501c3, it might be worth your while to give something like that a shot!

Thanks! That is a great idea. I got married on the last race day, May 6th!

We've had some recent changes but overall, things are still going well. I just wish we had more foster homes so we could rescue more Labs but isn't that the way it always is???

Oh, WOW! Congrats!!!

My sister lives in Richmond and I was wondering if there was any one in Richmond doing rescue work!! Guess there is now! She works in the music industry and they are always looking for non profits to help and generate money so I will send her your link!!

IF I ever move back to VA which might be sooner then later, I will definitely like to help out! I also have a cousin looking to adopt some time this fall when she buys her house - probably october - and I alreaady know she's looking to rescue a yellow lab!

CONGRATS, AGAIN!!
