By way of deductive reasoning I've concluded that Dallas is probably a little bit intolerant of Chicken. I don't think he is allergic to it, but every food we've tried with chicken as the main source of meat content for the food has given him some sort of problem ranging between skin issues all the way to diarrhea and vomiting.

He did well on lamb but I wouldn't be apposed to trying a small bag of a fish based kibble.

So which do you guys prefer to feed your labby friends? Lamb or fish?

I feed my guys Lamb because my male lab gets yeasty ears on any Chicken kibble I've bought.

I feed Innova Red Meat, but have fed lamb in the past and had good results...fish doesn't seem to work for my dogs in the kibble form, but they can eat it raw just fine :)

Note that a fish based diet is not recommended for young dogs - the human concerns re: heavy metals also apply to dogs, and young growing animals of both species are the ones at greatest risk.

We don't have a chicken issue, but I usually rotate between salmon, duck, chicken, and lamb.
