surfbear 01-20-2007, 05:21 AM Good Morning Everyone!!!!
Just wanted to get us started for the weekend.....though I'm not a big help because I usually take it easy on the weekends!! I'm planning on walking with my DH and Bear this weekend though, that should help counter my bad behavior!!!
Woody kindly gave us a new sub section so that there would still be the recipe section and now our own Diet Section!! I think it's a great idea!!! Thanks Woody!!
My hardest thing on the weekend as well is remembering to drink my water, so pour yourself a big glass and drink up!! :D :D :D
ourshiloh 01-20-2007, 07:54 AM Hi everyone! I was able to get in a thirty minute walk on the treadmill this morning. As of 9:00 a.m., I have already drank 48 ounces of water.
I am trying to bounce back from a bad weigh in this past week. I hope the whole weekend goes as well as this morning.
GOOD LUCK and have a GREAT weekend all. :)
Ravensmom 01-20-2007, 08:01 AM Good morning~I am so happy we have our own section! Thanks Woody!
I started my morning out with Tae-bo abs(not the whole DVD but part of it at least) and did the TaeBo 8 minute work out. My girlfriend is coming over to do Core Secrets workout with me in a little while.

Stuffed Chicken Breast
main meals
POINTS® Value: 4
Servings: 4
Preparation Time: 20 min
Cooking Time: 10 min
Level of Difficulty: Moderate
This Greek-inspired dish is brimming with lots of spinach, onion and feta. Pair it up with steamed rice for a complete meal. Or try it over a bed of mixed greens.
1 tsp olive oil, divided
1 small onion(s), chopped
10 oz spinach, fresh
1 tsp lemon zest
1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
1 tsp table salt, divided
1/2 tsp black pepper, divided
1 pound uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breast, four 4 oz cutlets
Instructions
In a large nonstick skillet heat 1 teaspoon oil; sauté onion until golden, 5 minutes.
Wilt spinach (steam spinach or heat damp spinach over medium heat in nonstick pan); stir in zest, feta, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Set aside.
Divide spinach mixture between cutlets. Roll up and secure with toothpicks. Sprinkle with remaining salt and pepper.
In same skillet, heat remaining oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Remove toothpicks.
ClaudiaMc 01-20-2007, 10:05 AM Hi, I was wondering what happened to all our our threads! This is a great, I feel like we have our own private little area now, hee hee.
Overall, I feel like I did great last week. Although I did skip the gym yesterday and went to see my receptionist's sweet newborn baby at the hospital during my lunch hour (he was a premie - only 4 pounds 12 ounces, 5 weeks early but he's doing good).
I have great confidence in myself this weekend. We're going on 3 weeks (nice!!!) My eating habits are slowly starting to change for the better.
Anyway, getting my hair colored at 10am and I think the rain may stop long enough for me to get Kirby on the beach today! No exercise planned for the weekend, kinda my break time so I'll try my best to be extra disciplined on the food part.
K, good to see you all and read your posts. It means we haven't given up in 2007!
Claudia :)
Ravensmom 01-20-2007, 11:13 AM Jackson, Raven sends her love.
I just wanted to thank you for letting me know and Woody thanks for the sub category! WHOOHOO!
Good luck everyone and be strong during the weekend. I have to as I will be weighing in on Monday morning!
brownie trout 01-20-2007, 05:54 PM I weighed in this morning and have lost 1.5 lbs! Yahoo!
Have not worked out as planned this week between going to Anchorage for 2 days and getting a new kitten and trying to keep peace between the new and old animals it has been a hectic week. I plan to start back on my exercise tomorrow so I hope I do even better in the week to come.
I need some extra control this week since my best friend just gave me my belated christmas box with truffles, homemade kahlua and chili mixes in it! I must control myself, I must control myself........
Heather 01-20-2007, 07:27 PM Just wanted to say, "Thanks for the motivation" everyone. I have been lurking in your threads and looking for tips and such. You have all helped me along.
I just went back to the WW program (doing it at home and not meetings to save some $$$) and have had good luck so far. :) I owe thanks to you all.
Breezeline 01-21-2007, 02:12 PM I am still not feeling that great with a darn chest cold, which makes it hard to exert myself, but I am doing my best.
I plan on weighing in tomorrow for the first time and working really hard.
My brother has set a wedding date for the end of March 08 and my goal it to be down 50lbs by then - about 1.5 lbs per week.
it is great to hear others stories and help eachother to our goals.
Laurie 01-21-2007, 02:45 PM Guys! Here's a good tip: you can get those Crystal Lite tubes that you mix w/bottled water...you can get just about any flavour..it makes water consumption a lot easier :)
ClaudiaMc 01-21-2007, 02:53 PM I'm afraid to weigh myself on the weekends. Last night, I was a bad girl. I ate Ben & Jerry's Chubby Hubby Ice Cream. I think the entire pint has 1,000 calories and yes, I ate the whole pint (oink oink). :)
Today I'm taking it easy, drinking lots of water and reminding myself that I have no room for screw-ups. In fact, I have to be extra good to the body.
Glad to see we are still checking in on Saturday & Sunday. :)
Laurie, nice tip, I will switch my Kool-Aid Fruit Punch singles to Crystal Lite (I have about 20 singles left though, lol).
Julie, get well soon.
Laurie 01-21-2007, 03:22 PM I see Ronda mentioned the Greek recipe..the Mediterranean way of cooking is brilliant...tomatoes are terrific & feta cheese is one of the cheeses w/the lowest fat count.
I mentioned in an OT thread about having cut veggies in ziplocks for many purposes~like for salads, pasta, stir fry, & nibbling. If it's already there & chopped up, it'll more likely be grabbed when you're feeling weak..I also find that red, orange & yellow peppers are very sweet & are a really nice change!
*I think another important thing to do is not dwell on the weak moments..b/c it's really lifestyle & not die-t..in the real world, we do eat strangely from time to time. I think it's okay in moderation :) & if the Ben&Jerry's rocked that's okay...tomorrow is a new day w/o Ben&Jerry's..lol...now, Sherbet on the other hand..a very good choice:brow:
Jenna 01-21-2007, 03:50 PM Jackson, Raven sends her love.
Thanks Raven! :brow:

I drink that too because its the only way I can stand water.. its very good, I love the lemonade the best... :)
labs~rule 01-21-2007, 09:33 PM Hi everyone. I have had just an ok weekend. I am a little disappointed in my body looks like I have developed Plantar Fasciitis as known as Heel Spur in my rt foot. My mom suffered from this and I know that it can be very pain full. The doctor said that she had problems because she was overweight. After losing weight and changing my life style I did not expect to get at this point in my life. I talked to my doctor last week and he gave me a handout on it. The handout said that it is actually really common in runners, walkers and racquet sports players. All of which I do. I have had to slow down my exercise quite a bit this week and I am not sure how much it will affect me on Wednesday night. I normally exercise everyday but have skipped some days altogether because of the pain. The funny thing is that a year ago before I made all of these changes I would have loved an excuse not to exercise :floor :floor now it just makes me mad. Too make matters worst I am so down on myself for not exercising like I should be that I feel like eating more. What is wrong with me :bang: I am not looking forward to weigh in this week.
Ok enough of my pity party :D Congrats to everyone that managed to stay on track over the weekend. Keep up the good work.
