I realize water is the best thing to give a dog, but are there other fluids that you guys give your dog that is safe???
Thanks in advance...

The only liquid my dogs get on a regular basis is water and only water. There is no need to give a dog anything more than just water (unless there is medical reasons to give something more). Mine will get some orange juice or milk as a treat every now and then but I don't give them any more than a few tablespoons of it and that is only once every few months that I give them any. I'll just give them a little as a special treat.
Water, that's it. All they need is the water.
The only other liquid I have ever give and instructed was 1/4 cup of milk for Samie's constipation or hard stool.

As an occasional treat, my dogs will get the leftovers from my glass of milk or soup bowl. Oh, my husband will sometimes give them a swig of his beer. (eyeroll) Grrr... that's a rare treat, though.
I've heard that you can add chicken broth to their water if you think they're not drinking enough, but water is all we give -- and make sure it's fresh. Mine love to drink it if I pour it from a pitcher -- they snap at it and make a total mess, but it's fun! :)

Water. Every once in a while they are fast enough to clean up any spillage my boy seems to leave behind:D

You can add gatorade to their water, it also encourages them to drink more. Zoe's Petsmart Trainer was telling this because her greyhound doesn't drink enough and gets dehydrated easily and her vet suggested the gatorade/powerade etc added to the water.. I add it to Zoe's water occasionally as a treat and it adds flavor, she likes it. It's up to you the water/gatorade ratio you want to use.
I like it cause I can give zoe different flavors and the water is different colors when its added:D :) :D

I would be very careful with things like chicken or beef broth and gator aid. Broth is very high in sodium and cause electrolyte inbalances the same is true for gator aid as it used for athletes to re-establish electrolyte balance when playing hard. Water is a dogs best friend.;)
