As some of you know, LOLIN is sponsoring a Silent Auction during our upcoming Charity Golf Tournament. We are real excited because we just received a donation for the Brickyard 400 race (tickets, hotel, garage/pit passes & police escort) from Mrs. Mary Hulman George for our Silent Auction. We are still working on how to accept "out-of-state" bids.
If you would like to bid on this, please let Linda know at
lolin@insightbb.com
or let me know at

As a NASCAR fan, I can tell you that this is a BIG deal.
It doesn't say where the seats are but (with the exception of a couple terrace sections) even the cheapest seats for this race are $75 per person. So "doing the math" the tickets alone are worth $300. Because of it's close proximity to the track, the hotel that is a part of this package does not have any available rooms but rates at this hotel for a normal "non-race weekend" run about $120 per night. So "doing the math" the hotel room is worth a minimum (2 rooms for 3 nights each) $720. A police escort to the track AND garage and pit passes cannot be purchased as they can at other race tracks so that part of the package is in the words of Mastercard "priceless" (unless you actually have connections).
We need to promote this heavily. This could a) help us fill the field for the golf tournament - note signup deadline is July 1 and b) raise real funds that will get us out of the red and REALLY make a difference.
my neighbor first suggested we do a Silent Auction in conjunction with our Golf Tournament. Her idea has really grown and with your help at promoting this donation by Mrs. Mary Hulman George, we can make it a success.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Eric at 765-342-2843 or me at 317-450-0599.
Puppy hugs and kisses,

All,
Earlier today at our flag retirement ceremony for the VFW/American Legion Mike Reiham handed me a packet,
My personal view is that we need to get this word out and start taking advance bids, min. increments of 100.00, starting bid ???, Should also allow phone in bids. Any other ideas ??? This would be great for an out of state bidder, can email pictures
Last year Mike sold this package for 5000.00 to an out of state bidder, this year for the 500, he sold a partial package for 2400. Mike is very well versed with Mrs. Hulaman George, and wants to make sure that we advertise this as a Silent auction item curiosity of Mrs. Mary Hulman George.
The statement below is verbatim from the packet.
