I wasn't sure where to post this, and I need to be very careful how I word this....

But - there is sometimes a 'lockdown' at the places you volunteer at, because of an illness spreading through a place. We just went through one recently - this isn't the first time.

But this time - it didn't end well at all. I lost 5 of my patients - I knew this day would come, but it is the first time in two years that I'm having to deal with this.

To put this into perspective - I have visited the same 10 patients, more or less, in the past 2 years. I'm just shocked and saddened.

Yes - we actually go tomorrow - it will be interesting, and sad.

I am very sorry. I'm sure you and Calvin have special relationship with the patients.

Its hard....but the dogs bring so much love and light into their lives that at least you can rest at night knowing you helped to bring them happiness.
