I had to make a very rough decision and put my 16 year old English Springer Spaniel, Murphy, to sleep this past Saturday. I know he is off to a better place and that brings me some peace. I lost my dad one month ago to the day so it has been a long month for our family. Most of my friends and family are not "dog" people so they don't understand how I can even compare the two - but I know the people on these boards understand - He was just the best dog and I will miss him terribly.

I was so saddened to read that your furkid has passed on to the bridge. What a long life Murphy had with you. I'm sure he is now running through the flowers at the bridge as we speak.
