Notes: Faye is a lab of 7 years. She has had a rough last couple months. You see, she was dumped at a county shelter by her owners. They moved and did not take her. So Faye was dumped with a note. She has been around other dogs, but not cats. She is very sweet. So a private shelter took her in. They hoped that somebody would give her a good home. But must people would look at her and say she was too old. They want a younger dog. So Faye just sat for a couple months in a cage just waiting. So the HSMC took Faye in and sent her to prison on 9-23. That is where inmates foster some of our dogs and teach them basic commands and housebreaking. The dogs live with the inmates 24/7, so Faye is getting lots of love and attention. But what she really wants is a home and a family. We hope you can look past the few gray hairs and see the wonderful pet that Faye would make. Here is her handler updates. She tolerates baths, brushing, nail clipping, ear cleaning, teeth brushing very well. Plays with toys and will retrieve. She loves water. She is somewhat energetic, but also somewhat lazy. She does not dig, but will sometimes get on furniture. She will get off when told. She likes everybody she meets be male or female human or dogs. But not cats. She will chase the birds, so may need a fenced in yard as she will run when she sees something to chase. The handler thinks she would make a great family pet.
Our adoption fee is $80.00 which includes set of shots, deworming, heartworm testing if old enough, and spay or neuter. Plus has a 1 year rabie. However since Faye is almost a senior (don't tell her I said that), her adoption fee is $60.00.
