I read it twice, laughed and cried twice. Good read! mousse's mum 08-31-2006, 03:47 AM ive voted! great book! reading it for the second time! Yellowaterdog 09-01-2006, 05:38 PM That was a great book! I laughed and cried. I got it right after we brought Charlie home. I was scared that was going to be my dog, but he is nothing like that thank goodness. I have the book if anyone would like to borrow it just send me a note. Jenn AbbyDog 09-01-2006, 06:09 PM I read that book too, what a great story!! My daughter is reading it now and she can't put it down either. She is taking classes this year at Tri-Tech and they have a pre-vet class for kids to sign up. If she likes it she's going to further her career in that field. As she was reading this book she said to me "Mom someday I hope that I can be a great vet for someone like this person, it's so awesome that there are people out there that love their animals this much". I'm going to vote for this book right now.:) margie 09-03-2006, 01:34 PM I also love the book.My husband is reading it now. Dirk's Mom 09-03-2006, 05:39 PM I bought this book yesterday and finished it about 2 hours ago. Tears are still dried to my cheeks. Everytime I laughed, my DH would ask "what's happening?" and I told him he had to read it himself!!! I got thru Marley and Me in under a day - I have 3 other books on the coffee table 1/2 read that I started a month ago. I couldn't put it down - I'm almost disappointed that I read it so fast, instead of stretching it out! ClaudiaMc 09-04-2006, 11:38 PM I just finished the book last night and it was awesome! I voted. :) (this is my first post; we won't have our first lab until Thanksgiving so I'm learning all i can!) hdriskill 11-10-2006, 11:28 AM I loooove that book. It's so funny because my lab, Smokey, does some of the same things. Like, he howls everytime he hears a train just like Marley howled when they flew to their new home. He described it just like Smokey does it. And Smokey also submarines his whole face in the water bucket to get a drink. He drinks lake water that way when he goes swimming just like Marley, too. He doesn't have all the mental issues that Marley had (thank God!) but some of the quirks are the same. So cute! Marlee Mae 11-11-2006, 08:57 PM I love the book!! I read it almost a year ago...and I am reading it again now. Marley inspired the name for my little girl "Marlee Mae". :) Belle'sMom 12-19-2006, 05:23 PM It's real. From the humor to the sadness and everything in between, it's all real and something most of us can relate to. I LOVE this book! Puck'sMom 12-19-2006, 08:18 PM I just finished that book, and laughed and cried out loud. Puck, like Marley, also grabs things off the coffee table, and then runs with it because he knows he isn't supposed to have it. Too funny. I was never a dog person until we got little Puck, and now I can't imagine not getting another lab...maybe this time, though, we'll go for a senior lab. DERNSIT 12-20-2006, 08:47 AM After reading this post I just went out and bought the book. So far I have read the preface and the the first chapter so far so good. I cannot wait to read more. Veronica Pebb26 02-23-2007, 11:09 AM It won! I just saw the thread so I went to vote, and it Said" COngratulations Marley & Me" YEAH! !! It WON!!! Lynn afterburnerdogz 03-26-2007, 11:00 PM I read it in 2 days. my favorite part is page 119 where Marley guards John & the girl that got stabbed. When they make the movie I hope they play AC/DC Jailbreak during the dog beach scene. cnoblitt 03-27-2007, 10:41 AM It is a wonderful book, but get the hankie ready, I sobbed the last three chapters. Okay I posted my vote - I'm almost done I think about 3 chapters left and I LOVE this book :) LabCindy 04-20-2007, 05:06 AM I read that book just yesterday and I wanted to put it down, cause I knew then ending would be sad but I finished.
