I would hold off...Prior to getting Nelson, I did so much research and I was so eager to fill up his kongs and get going...I proved to be a little overzealous and we ended up having an unnecessary bout of diarrhea. I would wait but that's just my opinion...How old is Kasey?

We didn't give Cosmo his first marrow bone until he was five months old. He also lost the last of his baby teeth that same day. I don't know the recommended age to start though.

I have always started my pups, with raw meaty bones, at around 6 weeks of age. Never had any problems with upset stomachs or tooth problems. I would rather them chew on a bone than a pieces of nylon or plastic bones/toys(or what ever else they chew on)

I agree with Lab Addict, we gave/give our dogs marrow bones right when they come to our house from the breeder, it keeps them occupied.

For starters, you could give Kasey the marrow bone for 15 to 20 minutes at a time and then take away and freeze.
