For those who read, or want to read, the Mermaid Chair; the movie is on Lifetime this Saturday (the 9th) at 9pm. Stars Kim Basinger. I haven't read the book yet, but the movie looks pretty juicy!!

Did anyone watch the movie? I didn't read the book, but watched the movie...I liked the "theme", and thought there was something there, but it was too disjointed. I just didn't "feel" anything for any of the characters...could have been a ton better, IMHO.

I just got done halfway watching it - I was busying working on this weeks school project with Maddie - I really didnt understand it, maybe it is one of those movies where you must watch it closely or you will get lost.

Since it's a Lifetime movie, they will likely play it over...and over...and over ;)

I started watching the movie last night and for some reason there was no sound on that station. I only watched the first 5 minutes. Kind of hard to follow a movie when you can't read lips!

Sort of reminded me of a modern day Thorn Birds; just not as good.
