Any Labby's in MO, around the Springfield/Branson area? We adopted our Abby - 7/8 mo old about a month ago and she has absolutely stolen our hearts. She's had a few "chew them up" insidents, like the water line going to the back of one of the toliets. She taught us a valuable lesson :flush: and after some second thoughts......I can't imagine life without her. Luv this site, found out once you have a Lab, you're

Hi there...we live in the northside of Springfield just outside the city limits. We'll have to get together sometime. I understand that there are plans for a dogpark here in town sometime in the near future. Good news for us!

Susan, that would really be great! How many labs do you have? We lived in Spfd my entire life until the first of this year. Daughter & I then moved south of Spfd and adopted our first lab about a month ago from a man & his daughters that raised champion labs and rescued Abby a few months ago. got her in tip top shape & we are so fortunate now to be her family. I work in Spfd and can't wait to get home to her everyday. Have you ever been to a dog park? I really hope the one for Spfd gets opened! How old are your lab(s)? Abby is about 8 mo now, and a black lab. So funny to watch! Maybe we can all get together sometime. Great to hear from you!

Hi Abigal,
We have 2 dogs...GeriLee a german shepard/rottie/lab mix about 1 yo, adopted the week before Christmas 2003. Then there is Jamoca, a dark choc labbie about 6 months old. Both are females and great pooches. I consider Jamoca my babygirl...I've had her from 5 weeks old and she's quite a bit easier to handle than GeriLee. GeriLee is huge, well over 100 pounds, and very rambuncous, still very much the puppy and doesn't know her own size! We have taken Jamoca to a few parks, leash on of course. The dog park would be a great thing to have around here. Not quite sure when that's slated to open.
We're fairly new to Springfield, moved here from Seattle, Washington a year ago because of the economy. Not quite sure if it was the right thing to do, but we're making it work.
Right now I'm looking for work so staying at home tending to my furbabies, caring for my 2yo granddaughter while her mom works. They are new here as well. Moved here from WA just a few weeks ago. It is definitely not quiet around here..hehe.
Send me a private email and we can chat...maybe even exchange phoe numbers.
It good to know that a labbie person is close by.
