The only information we have is that it is 7-8 months old and a male. The ACO doesn't give any information on the dogs other than breed, sex, age (guess) and color. Hopefully someone can help. As far as time, the ACO said if he gets in new dogs, he'll have to gas him in order to make room for more so there is no way of knowing. If I was guessing (and it would be a guess), maybe the weekend.

We do have someone who is willing to pull the dogs from this pound for us, but she can't hold them. They would need to be moved immediately and either sent on to rescue or boarded.

He's beautiful!! The pup under him is a cutie too; I think they're calling him a pointer mix. Where in the heck is West Plains, MO? I wonder if Dana (MySweetDaisy) is online; she's in MO.

Unfortunately no. There are so many right now and I think many of the rescues on this Board are full. I was at our local shelter yesterday and there were 2 young labs there that looked pb to me. It makes me sick. Someday soon we will begin fostering but can't just yet.

Dana is offline; I just checked. I did send her PM to be sure she noticed this thread. The fact she is in the same state as this beautiful boy does not mean she can help or that she is even close to him. At least she'll know about the thread. Susan

I just found out that this is a gassing pound!!!!!!!!
The pull fee is $20 and it includes NOTHING but the dog............

Susan, West Plains is about 2 hours southeast of Springfield, MO...just north of the Arkansas border. I used to spend a lot of time there at West Plains Motor Speedway.

I hope someone is close enough to save him.

UPDATE:

I spoke with the original poster, Rhonda today, she says that she may have someone in Kansas City who will take him. But just in case that may fall through, I found someone in St. Louis who has room for him in their rescue. And.......if that isn't enough, 2 people have stepped forward who know of someone who could take him.........sooooo it looks like the little guy will be saved!!!!!!! Thanks to all of you who helped in any way, whether it be with prayers, or emails. He has a safe place to go...........

On a sadder note........there is a whole litter of blk lab pups in serious danger of being PTS. They are about 10 wks old. I have pics and they are adorable.

It is just so sad... My heart breaks whenever I hear these thinigs. I swear If I had the room, time, and money for more than my 2 dogs, I would take them all in. Unfortunatly I just can't.

This is just outrageous..I know Mange can be treated....would they accept donations from concerned Lab lovers to help with their treatment? I am willing to donate...anyone else here? Michele..please let us know if we can help them....
