Yes he is still alive!!! Fortunately another dog adopted out on Friday, so now Max can be moved to the vets office for alittle while to avoid being put down! He is a very good boy and deserves a very nice home!
But he still needs to find a home as more animals are coming in.

Puppy- Oh my .. i just fell in love with sadie.. i would love to help these two out.I just dont know how Im to preggo to travel that far..Wish I could help..I would love for her to come to our home.Pretty sad now..Shes so pretty! :tissue: :tissue:

Ok I emailed the shelter.. Let me talk it over with my other half today and I will get back to you .. I just want to make sure this is a sure thing first....I have had my heartbroken in a situation like this before ( the agency wouldnt adopt out of state) so I want to be sure first. Ill let you know..

Please contact Dr. Case at 660-259-4900 Unfortunately, not much is known about this girl, other than she is quite young, very energetic, needs a family willing to work with her obedience training.
Note 09-16-05 We were just notified by volunteer at the vet's ofc. that this dog is female. We previously listed it as male. Sorry! The vet has also stated that she is stressed from the stay in the pound. With good food and TLC her hair coat should improve and she will gain some much needed weight.

Oh my, Sadie is so beautiful!!!

It's 12:22 pm, I just called the city Animal Control, I spoke with a very nice woman named Sue, she is checking to make sure MAX is still actually there, will get back to me, Max's photo is heartbreaking so I offered to sponsor Max, to atleast hold her Life, to give more time u ntil she could be adopted or rescued, Sue said that the Officer is out at moment, will be back later, she will give him my offer, & then someone will call me.

It is 12:52 I made an additional call to the shelter and I spoke with a very nice Amy there, she is also going to call the AC Officer and give my offer to sponsor the Black Lab Max, she now has my phone # too.

4:00, some info - Chocolate - Sadie is in foster care, needs to be adopted.
Black Lab Max, may be picked up by a Iowa Shelter, Amy is calling me shortly
with full details, as they know that none of us want Max to be killed.
Will update all of you as soon as I have a confirmation call from Amy.

Haven't heard from Amy, she did have good intentions of calling me, perhaps she was busy this afternoon & evening and I don't have a home # or cell to reach her, She is afilliated with the Shelter, seems to have the plans for Max, but also works somewhere else, the shelter said she told them to tell me that she would call me after she got off work this afternoon. I will call the Shelter first thing in the morning.

Praying and hoping. I want to get her to Vans.......I will help in anyway that I can. Things are bit tougher with the wife no longer working and the baby, but you guys know how much I love these babies.

:) Update: I just spoke with Amy -
MAX - & 2 others are being transported today to a nice no-kill shelter
the Randolph, Illinois Humane, & adopters are already lining up :)
SADIE THE CHOCOLATE - Her name is now changed to SweetiePie, she is in foster care, & needs to be adopted, the foster mother said she is so sweet, they just lost their own lab Saturday after a sad battle with Lymphoma, their sweet baby's name was also Sadie, so now this Sadie has a new name her name is SweetiePie & she needs a Forever home.
